I was skeptical that ethernet cables could improve sound quality, but read an interesting review of the Chroma 8 and several other ethernet cables. The reviewer described the Chroma 8 as providing very good value for the price, so I decided to try it. I, my musician wife and an audiophile friend all heard it upgrade the sound of streamed music by significantly lowering the noise floor, and at a modest cost.
As described by WireWorld, Chroma 8 has 8 oxygen-free copper connectors for improved clarity, with each pair of conductors encased in Composilex shielding to isolate them from each other and control electrostatic energy. The plug contacts are 24K gold-plated. Tite-Shield design delivers high-quality sound and imaging.
