Introductory Message

I'm new to this site. I am reintroducing myself to Hi-Fi. Home theater kind of killed my ambition. So I'm back to my roots in stereo. In building a system, I was searching for various equipment and was led here. I'm looking forward to the privilege. From what I see, this is a very knowledgeable base of audiophiles. I have an appreciation for that.

Welcome.  Yes, we are all experts.   Well, I am.  Not sure about all those other guys.     :D
But there really is a great deal of knowledge to be gleaned here.

Welcome!

Suggest looking into active monitors (better performing and cheaper when not needing power amp or speaker cables).  Prices range from $300/pair for good sounding basic Kali LP-6 up to $14,000 for the supreme well equipped Dutch & Dutch 8C.

Stick with streaming sources and don't over invest as the technology is still moving fast.
