The Canadian owner of Ultralink bought XLO and combined the technology of the two companies to produce a mid-priced line of cables for the audiophile market. The Argentum line produced the Proteus Power cable as well as interconnects and speaker cables. Slotting somewhere between the Ultralink brand, a largely consumer priced area and XLO, the high priced like, Argentum found a middle ground and produced impeccably manufactured cables for a modest price. Although no longer in production as the name was sold, the line continues to be found in many audiophile applications. The 6 foot length retailed for 900.00 USD.
