I have recently returned to my audiophile habits.
I am now just entering my 60’s and again have some disposable income.
I started with a system back in the late 1970’s with an Akai reel to reel, Sony amp, tape deck and turntable, Yamaha tuner, and cheep store speakers.
In the 1990’s I worked up to Sonicfronters amp, preamp, and phono preamp (all tube equipment). A nice turntable that I forget the brand at this time. Running a set of Quad ESL57’s on custom made steel stands filled with lead shot on custom made spikes.
Now I have MarkLevenson 383 integrated amp driving a set of Magnapan 3.7’s. The source is a Studer A807 ¼” HS 2 track reel to reel, a Marantz turntable. Bryston streamer feeding a MarkLevinson 360s DAC. Sony TV and BluRay (audio through the DAC).
I am looking into upgrading the Magnapan’s crossovers and maybe adding a set of servo controlled open subs.
