Pioneer M-22 30 wpc, all class A, power amp
The Mid-Century Modern of Amplifiers! :thumb:

Considered one of the best Pioneer amps of all time. Manufactured circa 1978. Cosmetically in excellent condition for its age and compared to others I've seen on the market. Performance is stellar. After purchase, I had it fully serviced. You can see the invoice with itemized work performed bringing it up to spec in the photos. Following that, I installed Rieke bypass caps as advised by the technician. It was designed and made in Japan. The story goes that the Japanese engineers were told to make the M series Pioneer's best.  The M-22, despite the cliche, is tube like in sound presentation, but quicker and with more dynamics.

It is 100 volts AC (for Japan). I will include a step-down transformer that allows it to run on 120 VAC. I made a wooden base to secure the transformer and prevent it from scratching surfaces. The transformer will likely have to ship separately. I have a custom made shipping box for the amp that will protect it well.

Read reviews and opinions in the links below for a sense of how highly regarded this amp is. And, in contrast with the majority of M-22's that go for sale, it is plug and play. Cosmetically and functionally all there.

Asking $1850 $1750 plus shipping (from Bellingham WA - 98225). The restoration was $1300 alone plus $90 for the transformer. Absolutely worth the price.

It weighs 48 lbs plus more for the transformer which I may need to ship separately, so shipping is expensive. I am in Bellingham WA if pickup is feasible. Otherwise $135 anywhere in the US. That is less than actual shipping will cost. If less, I will pass that on to you.

I also have digital copies of the user manual, service manual and schematic.

Paypal f&f only please. (I don't want any 1099's !)

It is impressive, thanks.  Getting too old for such heavy iron!
