Hi im dan an audiophile and magnepan lover. I have a 5.1 magnepan surround sound and was wondering what bookshelf speakers that would work good for the back surrounds for 7.1 surround. im curious if the emotiva airmotiv bookshelfs would blend with my maggies

I am a Maggie guy as well.  Unfortunately, nothing pairs with Maggies.  Although, something with an AMT or ribbon tweeter will help.

anybody have magnepan mmg w that can tell me how they sound compared to the regular mmgs or even the mc1 perhaps. they lack the quasi ribbon driver so im a little hesitent on buying them.

If you're in the USA, call The Listening Room in Maryland.
They had some small bookshelf speakers they were demonstrating with MMG-Ws and they sound great.
For the life of me, I can't remember what they were as it was years ago that I heard them.

i tried a couple jbl bookshelvs  but they were distorting so couldnt use them. i will buy either a martin logan 15i or lx16 pair or a emotiva b1 or b2 whichever comes cheaper
