Preparations for Model T 10th Anniversary
« on: 10 Jul 2023, 08:52 pm »
Looking for suggestions for the celebration of my Model T 10th Anniversary Music Festival?
February 2024 will mark the 10th Anniversary of the purchase of my Model T passives. Preparations are underway, as you know these occasions are upon you before you know it and I want to be prepared. I booked a week holidays from work for the second week of February 2024.
Suggestions are welcome for the following:
Food served at the opening Banquet?
Cigars Brand?
Brandy Liquor?
Playlist suggestions?
Type of Cake?
Munchies/snacks?
Guest List?
Other?

Keep in mind that I'll have to do all the work and I'm pretty lazy.

Ok I will take a crack at it:

Raw Oysters (PEI)
MC #2 torpedo cigar
Angostura 1824 Rum
Stevie Ray Vaughan "Tin Pan Alley"
Art Pepper Winter Moon album

Chocolate Cake with 10 candles
Pistachio's (with a cold craft beer)
Have Fun!

Raw Oysters are definitely out, I would throw up with the slime going down my throat. I do like canned oysters so I could buy a few cans for the occasion.
Funny thing is I was listening to Tin Pan Alley just the other day. So I could play the collection of Stevie Ray Vaughan that I have on USB Stick.
I like Pistachio's so it will be one of the many snacks. No beer as I stopped drinking alchohol but I'm making an exception for the Brandy.

I'm going to send an invitation to Taylor Swift to attend so I can check out those waxed legs and maybe Shake it Off.

Since this is a tenth anniversary, why not get some of the best smoked oysters available? Taylor Fish Farms in WA, formerly Ekone Oyster and Seafood Products are my favorites. They are not cheap, but the first can you open will blown you away with the size and quality of the product. Then comes the first bite. Absolutely wonderful. Link provided.

Have fun,

I'm guessing that will not be a problem. They are very good.

If you don’t already, you could dress them up with some maple or walnut platforms.  Maybe some new shoes, like GAIAs?

I’ve been considering new speakers.  That’s exactly how I addressed two sets of twelve year old Monitor Audio Golds…(GR20s) I have.    I may upgrade next year.   I’ll want to listen to a few things before jumping in.  The last time I had the urge, I couldn’t find anything that I really liked better.
