New Guy to the Audio Circle
« on: 23 Jun 2023, 10:55 pm »
Hi All, I'm Chris from Phoenix, AZ. I am a big fan of all things analog with a specific weakness for 70's gear and silver pioneer equipment. I have a large collection of audio gear and enjoy learning about how they work and the history behind the companies that made the gear.  I started collecting audio gear in 2001 when I decided to dust off my old college Kenwood setup that I had bought from the Audio Club at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart Germany in 1980 while visiting my parents over Christmas break as a 20 year old. So around 2001, being more mature and the invention of the internet, I wanted to see how my old gear stacked up with other gear from that time period  of the late 70's and early 80's and the current gear that was on the market; and once I started looking, learning, and see all the different gear that was out there and what use to be out there I was hooked and my analog disease was started with the displeasure of my wife

I look forward to learning more from this group and sharing any information that I have to future conversations.
Attached is a pic of a recent purchased of a custom hand made piece of furniture that I just couldn't say no to that reminds me of my sickness every day!
