At the heart of the MM de Capo BEII is the hand built carbon fiber main driver. It is now even faster and better controlled.
The new high frequency unit is sonically more transparent and detailed than the original. It now has no ferro-fliuds and a much lower resonant frequency. It now integrates even better with the main driver.
The cabinet dimensions are unchanged. Critical bracing points have been optimized to achieve an even more silent cabinet and less interference with the drivers.
The recent updates to the MM de Capo BEII include a new beryllium tweeter which extends to 40 Khz, Surreal Acoustic Len on the driver cone to stop air vortex distortions, and the Nextel matte coated cabinet which reduces diffraction effects and absorbs surface vibrations.
Latest MK II version embodies the features used in the AE version and Reflector internally now.
Laminated boards used in Cabinet walls, Mechanical grounding of drivers, additional bracing etc. (replaces tension bar).
The tweeter flange is now covered in sound absorbing textile material to avoid reflections is also used in the latest MK II version. Construction of cabinet and the quality of the finish is better now.
Bi wire jumpers supplied are made of either a very special 8N pure copper/Teflon wire (better suited to solid sate amplifiers) or 4Ns OCC pure silver-Teflon for tube amplifiers. Both are generally very good however.
