Howdy!
« on: 13 Jun 2023, 05:35 am »
Hello all;
This is my little intro!

I guess for the purposes of an intro here I should introduce my humble audio gear.
I'm a bit of a geek so I've used various RPI DAC hats up to the Greek Mambo Berry, then moved to an Allo Revolution with a couple of their power supplies.  I have an old pretty Marantz and a Red Wine Audio Sig 16. A pair of Zu Omen Defs, and some JMR (low end, not the fancy kind) speakers.

I started listening to my Dad's Tanberg receiver and his real to real. & Kiplish speakers. Nice old classic teak!  My first system was I think a NAD 5135(?) receiver and some Boston Acoustics 2 ways, back in the 80s.  I really haven't upgraded that often since thence sidering how much I use it. I think I had a NAD 3120(?) at one point.

I mostly listen to streaming Internet radio and my flacs, Redbook and higher.

It is a pleasure to meet you!
D

Hello, D.

Welcome to AC!

I had an NAD integrated amp back in the late eighties (don't recall the model) that I really enjoyed owning.

If I recall, they were plain looking devices that promoted their "soft clipping".  : )
Perfect for the money and the age. They seemed well made to me.

Welcome!

I had a NAD 3020 receiver in the early 90's (20 watts RMS with soft clipping) while in an audio slump.  Worked fine but I wouldn't call it well made, but  certainly made for purpose.
