First, loudspeakers are the most important component. Recommend active monitors, anywhere from JBL 305 Mk2 ($300/pair) up to Buchardt A10 (currently $4360 with Platin Hub).
Second, the room is the second most important (and most often neglected component). Avoid small/square rooms and look for well insulated rooms. My room uses exterior insulated fiberglass door with weather seal and flexible/insulated ductwork (don't hear the furnace fan).
Third, go with CD quality internet streaming such as Tidal or Qobuz for access to millions of albums and relatively low cost.
