Hi all,

Klaus very kindly sent a new transformer for my Tempest; it is a new type, very beefy.  The wires are different from the old one.  I took it to my local "high end" repair shop here in Japan, and they said they needed a diagram to swap out the unit.  I asked Klaus to tell me which wires went where, and he told me.  I relayed this info to the repair tech and he says he needs an actual diagram.  I'd hate to bug Klaus again; do any of you have a repair manual or schematic for the Tempest available?  I just want my music back.  It's been weeks now that I've been without. Thanks, folks.

Eric

Just ask Klaus, tell him what is going on. He won't mind

these are Plitron transformers, made in Canada

you may be able to find relevant winding/color code info on Plitron's web site - google it or www.plitron.com

Actually,  it's the Symphonic Line mymetal unit for the Extreme stage 1 upgrade.
There are 2 more leads,  however,  how a technician isn't able to hook it up when all you have to do is to measure it out,  is beyond me.  A different person should look at it.

Anyway,  Paul,  I'll get you the additional info,

Klaus
