Hello All
My name is George Fadale, Originally from Erie, PA. I was always electronically curious. Worked with electronics my whole life. The pivotal point where my Audiophile Life started was at Dean Smiths House of Records in Erie pa in 1966. As a 10 year old I wanted a cassette player, (8 tracks were the rage) my "Uncle" (Dads best friend) introduced me and mom to Dean's store and he recommended a portable with speakers from Ampex. I experimented with that unit for the next 6 years learning so much about fidelity. I knew cassettes would rule the scene. At 16 now driving I was introduced to HiFi sound via friends. I again came to Dean's store and bought a used advent cassette recorder to add to my Small Advent speakers and used Luxman Amp, & and Garrard Turntable. I was off to the races in the 70's. Our crew consisted of myself and 4 friends with a combo of Dual, Crown, Klipsch, Revox and Shure. I started to us Dean's layaway and trade in to move forward. I learned my Advent Tape deck was made by Nakamichi. Dean sold Nakamichi, So I bought my first new piece a Nakamichi 600. Then Phase Linear amps, Micro Seiki turntable, Signet TK7SU, Klipsch Heresy's. All before my 20th birthday.
Today I am looking forward to retiring with my Vintage Yamaha C70 preamp and M2 amp, Paradigm Premier speakers, Micro Seiki Turntable & Sub. I am fully embracing the digital experience.
I look forward to learning more from this site.
Thanks
