Decided to part with my MD-208, I have been so amazed by this unit I upgraded to the MD-209.
Honestly one of the best integrated/receivers I have used.
The sound is amazing. The amplifier section was designed by Sim Moon and it has the tuner section of the MD-102. The sound is just outstanding, with tonnes of power and drive.
Technically you can consider this a full receiver. Rated at a conservative 100wpc (160w into 4 Ohms). The unit has the power and current to drive almost any speaker. If you like Sim Moon, you will love the sound of this unit. You would never know that a tuner can sound so good.
This unit was just fully serviced at Magnum Dynalab in Brampton. Both meters were just replaced, visually and functionally in excellent condition. All features work as they should. It holds a station without any issues and keeps it there for weeks on end.
Magnum has now part of the Bryston Group and will be maintain by Bryston moving forward.
Cosmetically the unit is in great shap, the only issue. There is no original remote. A custom remote has been included that operates all the functions properly and without issue. You can use a Simaudio Remote if you like with these,.
