This unit was built for a 30V supply for even better specifications into high impedance headphones (i.e. Sennheiser & Beyerdynamic models). Though it was still able to drive my inefficient 23 ohm headphones adequate levels.

The HP-2 is a low-distortion headphone amplifier. It provides 440 mW into 32 Ω, 660 mW into 50 Ω, and 260 mW into 300 Ω at vanishingly low distortion, and is suitable for driving all in-ear monitors and all but the most inefficient planar headphones on the market.
With its ample output power and incredibly low distortion, the HP-2 provides a clean sound with a very realistic sound stage.
