Rack mounting for newer Bryston products
« on: 16 Feb 2023, 09:50 pm »
Mr Tanner
Recently while cleaning out my junk drawer,I found some old sets of rack mounts that I had purchased from Bryson Vermont probably 25 years ago.
At one time I think I used them on a .4B preamplifier,& a BP-1. My concern is can the old rack mounts be safely used on my BP6,which has a 17 inch faceplate? I know there is a weight difference between the two units, and I  don't want to damage anything. Could they also be safely used on a BDA-2 converter?
Regards,
Patrick

Hi Pat

The rack mount L brackets were designed to use the same holes as the screws that held the chassis in place so as long as they line up you should be fine. One concern is the length of the screw going inside the chassis and hitting a component.
