Hello esteemed audio folks!
I am very happy to formalize my membership to the Audio Circle. Have been into audio all my life, that is more years than I would like to admit. I have owned wonderful systems and most of them have left me with a valuable life experience. I kept relatively stable with an audio system for the last 12-15 years which I enjoyed very much. Now I am ready to explore and discover if anything is worth replacing (I am sure I will). Most of my audio projects are solely to learn more about a particular design or technology. Will be happy to share any insights with the group.
This passion of ours is a never ending learning opportunity. Kinda like life! I heard a fellow audio enthusiast once say, "We are constantly comparing gear, cables, accessories, speaker positions, recordings, etc. We are in the hobby of continuous evaluation and comparison."
A long time ago, I would have admitted that my audio goal was to find the most true to life audio reproduction system. Today, I would say, that audio reproduction is like tasting wine. Your perception and subjective preferences will guide you to "your" ideal system sound. So maybe this hobby is about knowing yourself so you know what will make you happy.
Sorry for the long intro. Look forward to meeting like minded enthusiasts.
Cheers,
Eric
