Using JVC F10 As a Home Theater Receiver

I've done tons of searches and it doesn't seem that anyone talks about using this amp in a theater setup. I've got a Marantz SR 7000 now running my Monitor Audio Silver speakers, fairly efficient around 91 db.
The Marantz is plenty powerful enough, not so easy to set up and more musical than most but could be more so. I've got 2 setups, HT and 2 channel. I'd like to improve the musicality of the HT.Is getting the JVC the answer? Does it have at least the same features as the Marantz (not looking for the latest hot tech)? I did read that the DAC in the JVC is lacking, is this true?
Is this thing a good HT receiver or just a good amp?
Thanks in advance,  Mark

I'm very pleased with my JVC F10 as HT receiver. To my ears it conveys more emotion and musicality than the panny digital and a late model Marantz I had.

I use mine for HT and think it's great.
