An Audiophile Quality Song
« on: 19 Dec 2022, 07:36 pm »
This Thread I want Members to list an Audiophile Quality Song. Just one at a time, so we can check it out, but you can post another in a follow up post.

I'm going to recommend a song that I recall my sister played way back when. I didn't like it at the time because to me it was a girl song.
Having listened to it again IMO the sound quality is outstanding so I thought I would post it for a starter.

Turn it up and hold on! The song always get a WOW during my demos, super clear, no sibilance and ultra dynamic.

"Belly Of The Beast" song by Joe Lynn Turner, taken off "The Belly Of The Beast" album, released in 2022.
The voice, the songwriting, production and the musicianship are the top gun.

Anne Murray- You Needed Me
From what I heard she is a talent that could record a song in the first take she was that good.

Sara K is my absolute favorite audiophile recording artist.  Many of her albums were recorded at Chesky and sound lovely, but she had differences with that label and accepted an offer from the German label Stockfish.  They produced even better quality recordings, but she again felt unsupported and walked away from the music industry.  It nearly broke my heart, but what's best for her is what matters.  Here's a song from the middle of her Chesky period, and maybe her best album, Closer Than They Appear, the song is "Miles Away".

This is a live performance but the audio quality is pretty good. Also this song is like poetry styling if you dig that type of music.
