Daedalus DA 1.1 V2

SOLD!! Sellng my fantastic sounding Daedalus DA 1.1 V2.  This is an absolutely gorgeous pair of Daedalus  speakers. All Daedalus speakers are bespoke creations for their original owners, but this pair is one-of-a-kind pair that was made to order using solid quartersawn white oak, which is known for its rich fiber pattern and density. There are no veneers used in Daedalus speakers - they are solid hardwood, like a fine instrument. The finish is a multi-step process that closely matches Stickley furniture. The speaker cabinets are higher quality creations than any real “furniture” that you can buy today.

These are the most-recent iteration of these speakers, and feature the V2 upgrades which were installed at the factory. Also included are the optional trim rings (which have a performance advantage) and attached stands which made set-up and leveling very easy. The speakers also include the optional two piece grilles, which attach with magnets for convenient removal.

If you have not had a chance to hear Daedalus speakers, the house sound is very organic, very smooth, very close to live music. Case in point, Daedalus has their roots in stage monitors for professional musicians. Lou Reed traveled with a beloved Daedalus monitor on his last couple of tours, custom made for him, of course.

They are extremely efficient (96db), yet they can also handle large power amplifiers.

Heirloom quality, this is an opportunity to get into the Daedalus family for significantly less than a new pair of similar size and performance. When I purchased these, I called Lou and he told me to "get in the car and go buy them", as the new model was 16,000.dollars. Price is 4800.00 dollars, open to reasonable offers.. I drove 3 hours to get them and worth every mile and dollar!

I have the original boxes. There was no owners manual written for these speakers.
I would prefer local audition and pick up, as these are heavy and would have to be shipped freight. Located in CT. 06370.

Beautiful speakers - these not only sound amazing but are real pieces of workmanship and look the part.

Assuming for the ad that your price is $5,200 - is that correct?

I love my Apollo speakers.  You should ask Lou if your speakers include the Duelund crossover upgrade since that is a value add.

If you're talking about Lou Reed, you'd need a ouija board to ask that question.

I was speaking about Lou Hinkley, the owner of Daedalus.
