Hi All,

Long time no talky. It has been a hectic three months for me. Today I got offered a deal I could not refuse. A Aragon D2A2 DAC for $250.  Sorry Mark. I couldn't resist after reading some reviews of this DAC.  I don't guess that I will need the Sigma now. I'll email you and apologize more in depth soon :D . I am excited about this purchase. It should be able to make my little Cal Gamma sound bad without breaking a sweat. I'll let you all now about my impressions soon. Whhhhoooooooo! HHooooooo! :D  :D

Hey Gavin!
Long time no type!
Hope you are enjoying your new piece!  Few things sound better than a 'good deal!'  :)
I was thinking on you last week that you were probably enjoying the weather more on 2 wheels and letting the gear take a back seat, but as always, there I am wrong again!
Enjoy, and don't forget to give us a listen sometime!
Regards,
DeadFish

Hey, no problem about the Sigma II.  Sounds like the Aragon will be some fun, too.  Are you going to modify the Aragon?  When we all get together again, I'll bring out my Sigma and you can compare the Aragon to the Sigma head to head.  I'll give you a raincheck for Sunday's get together and see you at the next meeting/soldering fest.  Let me know what you have planned for the Aragon DAC.

G,

Congrats on the new DAC. Now, if I can just talk Blackmore out of the Sigma, that should another fun little tweak project.

Guys, with Johnnie Johnson now gone, we REALLY need to all go and see Chuck Berry before he leaves us too. If I remember correctly, he plays on the second Wednesday of the month in the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill and once a month at the Argosy (Alton Belle) Casino.

So Mark, you really don't need that Sigma do you?! You never liked it. You'll never like it. It's a horrible piece of audio gear and isn't worth the dust in your house. It's so bad the cats won't even attack it any more. When you're ready you can just set it on the back porch and let ..... oh.....anybody have it cuz it's so bad.....right?

Great to hear from you again, G.  Sturgis was just saying with the business picking up in the Summer for electricians, we may not hear from you 'till September.     I've gain quite a bit of respect for your field of expertise since we were at Scott's a few months ago.  In fact, last night I modified my DVD player as a starting project and tonight I tried to install some big honkin' binding posts to my outboard crossover boxes.  I officially got my butt whipped.

We really do need to get to see Chuck Berry.  He is more than an icon.  He defined Rock and Roll.  My family has watched videos and listened to countless recordings of his for as long as I can remember.

Let's make this trip to see him happen ASAP.  I'll check the Blueberry Hill website now and post his next date.

Hey G.
It's good hear you came up for air. I was just looking at an Aragon Dac for my cousin. He changed his mind and thinks he may just get the Rega. Where did you find it? I was in touch with a guy from the St. Louis area that had one for sale for the same price. I think these are very nice sounding units. Did it come with the IPS?

I think I'm just going to listen for a while before I start in with the BG caps  but we will definately have to give it a listen at the next shindig.

Hey Sturgis. This one has an internal PSU so no IPS.  :( All the reviews I've read of it say it is a good piece though. I'm crossing my fingers. Keep that Sigma away from Scott Mark!! :P  :P
