Hi all,
I got my BP17cubed today and wonder why the faceplate design changed. The logo is not engraved anymore, the volume "knob" looks different, the imprinted characters are thicker and the silver colour matches only 97% the colour of the 4Bcubed.
I know for a fact that this was different in the past because I owned a 17cubed before, took a break and now came back to it.
Anybody same experience?

Thanks, James. But when I ordered silver for my new BP173 6 weeks ago, was that the right choice to match my 4 year old silver 4B3 or should I have chosen something else? I don't mind the thicker imprints but the colour is only roughly similar. I miss a little bit the "gloss" of the old silver from 4 years ago.

When I read the older circle about the new faceplate finishes I see tgat especially about silver the same question was asked:

So these are new additional colour options which will be alongside the 'standard' silver and black you have now?

Does that mean there is a regular silver and a new one available at the same time? You answered to Antun with "yes".

The new finishes are the new Silver - that is the only choice currently.

Thanks. To make pre and power am look similar - is there a chance that an old silver faceplate is somewhere lying around as spare part? If not, can the faceplate of the 4B3 be changed by me as end-user? I assume also the faceplates of the power amp where changed to new silver.

Thanks, James! Theone marked as "black" does not show the usual 4B3 belt buckle. Is that going away withe the new colours and it is already available? It looks interesting. If I do not get a "old-silver" faceplate for my new BP173 to match my 4 year old 4b3 then switching to the new black in pre and power amp might be an option.

The 'buckle' is on all the units the photos are not as detailed as I would like.
