question 'bout clocks, superclocks.
« on: 14 Apr 2005, 03:12 am »
Stupid question of the week...

I have an all-in-one player (bought used) that was modded and had a superclock put in. If I was to think about going with a seperate transport and DAC, which section would a superclock 3 go in?

Some DAC's have clocks built in that re-clock jitter. For example, the diyparadise Monica 2 has a crystal on board feeding a reclocking chip.

Are the superclocks versions of reclocking chips?  ... i.e. is a superclock something that might be used in modding the Monica 2 described above?

Thanks,

Superclocks can replace the oscillators in both Transports and upsampling DAC's. They can be beneficial in both in the same system.
