Greetings from the Pacific NorthWET.
« on: 10 Oct 2022, 08:06 pm »
Hi All,

My name is Jay and I live in the PNW. Just joined the community. I have lurked in these circles for a while and decided to jump in.

My “audiophile” journey started a couple of decades ago. Built my system buying used components and some new ones. I don’t really change my system often and prefer to enjoy the system as much as possible without swapping components often. My current system is :

NAD M33 / Devialet D200 integrated amplifiers
Rega RP6 turntable
Sony SACD 777ES (don’t use it much)
AudioPhysic Virgo 25 speakers
Audience/Duelund speaker cables
Siltech interconnects

The integrated amps are newer in my system having bought the Devialet in 2015 and subsequently the NAD M33 in 2020.

I would like to try OB speakers to minimize room interaction in a new house we are building.

Cheers,
Jay

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome to AC, what part of the PNW are you from?  I am in the Kent area.

Yikes almost 7 inches behind on rain here at the 160 mile marker on the Willamette with a nice light smoke filled breeze.
 Nice setup.

Thanks all for the welcome. I am certain the dry weather this fall will come back with a vengeance during the winter. Not looking forward to that.

I am in Redmond.

Welcome to the club Jay. I'm in Vancouver dealing with Portland traffic on the daily. While I am enjoying the extra long boating season with the high pressure bringing stagnant smoke and glass smooth wakeboarding water, it's only a matter of time before the cold, wet darkness descends upon us again.

Welcome to AC!

In the past week, I drove to Port Orchard (from Corvallis) to visit a nephew; to Mt Saint Helens to wander volcanic dust trails; to Vancouver to visit friends, and now I’m stuck in the Woodburn Outlet parking lot waiting for my wife to satisfy her shopping cravings by wandering around practically every single store.

So where did you find the wet?

Northwet was a historical term :D certainly not this year. We are enjoying the extended summer enjoying boating and riding my motorcycle.

Cheers

Howdy from the East side.  Not so wet and occasionally scorching hot we get several months of winter weather that keeps the stereo humming.
