The Counterpoint SA-2 has been recapped with all new electrolytics. The unit is factory stock with the exception of the replacement of the electrolytic caps. I replaced the power supply caps with new Sprague Atoms and German FT caps in the audio tube bypass section. The Sprague Atoms were the originally spec’d caps and still available. The German FT caps are a significant upgrade from the stock electrolytic caps.
All of the tubes are original and tested close to new on a TV10DU Navy tube tester. The main audio tubes are 4 factory selected and marked Phillips 6DJ8’s made in Holland.

https://youtu.be/1pv3825ufrM I have been playing this amp with my Benz Micro LPS for several months now. The sound is very musical with strong dynamics, great imaging and instrumental timbre. There is no hum playing the unit in my all tube based system. You can hear some tube rush with your rears very cloclose to the speakers. It is not audible at the listening position. My horn speakers are rated at 102dB @ 1W/1M, so I am very sensitive to noise in the system.
