The Ayre EX-8 2.0 has Stereophile’s A rating on their 2021 & 2022 highly recommended integrated amplifier list.
I am the second owner of the EX-8 2.0 and it is in perfect cosmetic condition, no scratches, dings or dents, and perfect working order. It has been used in a smoke free home. Only rated 9 because it is used. This originally was an EX 8 that Ayre upgraded to the newer EX-8 2.0 in 4/2022 and it definitely has more meat on the bones than the original and has the newer cooling vents.
Only selling because I originally was going to go the all in one route, but decided to do separates.
A rare feature of the EX-8 2.0, not mentioned in reviews, is the ability to disable individual inputs not being used. From my experience and to my ears this feature significantly improved the sound quality of the inputs being used. For example, I used the XLR input for a CD player, the Ethernet input for Roon, and disabled all the other inputs which improved the sound quality of both the XLR and Ethernet inputs.
