The Nagra BPS is high quality Swiss-made, battery powered (runs on a 9 V battery) and thus very quiet. An expensive power cable is not needed. The Nagra BPS is able to work with MC or MM cartridges. The BPS also has a jack for a power adapter, which is included, to keep the circuit warmed up when not listening; it's completely out of the audio circuit and doesn't operate when playing.
