For sale is a pair of speakers using EMS drivers from France in a TQWT cabinet. The drivers used for this project are the LB8 MKII.

I had the cabinets made by a local furniture maker using the TQWT design provided by EMS. The front baffle is 1" thick solid ash wood. The remainder of the cabinet is made from birch ply. A clear-coat finish with a white tint was applied to the cabinets, making for a great-looking pair of speakers. The cabinets cost about $1100 to have made.
Unfortunately, I no longer have a need for these speakers. They are packed up with TONS of foam and are now ready to go.
I have a hard time figuring out how to price these. On one hand, the speakers were relatively expensive to build and they look and sound great. On the other hand, they will be expensive to ship (each speaker is separately boxed, the weight per speaker is about 60 lbs, and the dimensions per box are 46"x21"x18").
So in the interest of moving these along to a new owner, I would like to clear $500. Your cost will be $500 + whatever the shipping cost is to your location. (My zip is 86305). A local sale in AZ would be ideal, but I am fine shipping

EMS drivers are hand-made in France by the Fertin family, legendary for making full-range drivers. I have provided links below if you are interested in the history of Michael Fertin. These are among the better full-range drivers made today.

With both, the speakers sound glorious. Coherent, musical, engaging, and with plenty of bass. I believe with the TQWT cabinets, these will play down to the 40Hz range. I never felt the need to add a sub.
These speakers are about 1 year old. The drivers were purchased in August 2021 and the cabinets were made in December 2021.
I used these speakers in a 2nd system in a small TV room. Unfortunately, they were too big for the room and did not pass the WAF. So I have decided to replace these with a pair of studio monitors.
