How about building your own Chris V. fine silver IC's? Fits your budget and they are good bang for the buck IMO.

I haven't heard their silver cables but I'm using the copper interconnects and digital cables, and they are very good & within your budget.

Check out the silver ICs from RS Audio, available with locking RCA plugs or with the silver Eichmann bullet plugs for a bit more.  Either configuration is within your budget.

These ICs have received highly favorable reviews from Positive Feedback and Ultra Audio.

In my system (Maggie 1.6 speakers, AVA 550exr amp, VTL 2.5 pre, Jolida 100 CDP), these ICs do not exhibit any of the excessive brightness some associate with silver cabling; they are highly revealing, yet smooth and musical.

Do you happen to have the link for the review from Positive Feedback?
How would you rate these compared to others

Why not ask what IC minimax prefers for their products?

I have not tried a lot of different IC's but we have had great results using the Silver Reference Mk2 from Cryotweeks. Clean, smooth, dynamic with no grain, also a great bottom end. They seem to just let the music flow.
I believe this is a great pairing with the Lowe's 6 gauge 19 strand copper speaker cable that Martin Dewulf editor from Bound For Sound referred to as his" Secret Weapon " and declared "is the best "overall" speaker cable cable that I've heard regardless of price"  That was such a huge statement that I had to check this out for myself. Within 5 hours in my system I put my pricey speaker cables up for sale . They are that good in my system.YMMV
I'm not sure if it is the copper speaker cables with the Silver Reference Mk2 blending the silver for the IC's with the tone of the all cooper cables but it definetly works for me.

I have not compared the RS Audio ICs to other silver ICs; I just don't want to spend the amount of money on ICs that silver seems to demand.  The only head-to-head comparison I've done is with PS Audio Statement ICs, which are very good, but not as detailed, fast and revealing as the RS silvers.

The RS Audio ICs are the first silver ICs I've used.  I love music, and look upon the hardware as a means to an end, not an end in itself.  So, once I'm content with a piece of equipment, I (usually) end the search for just one more thing that might be just a little better.

Here's the links to the reviews:

I'd try palladium rather than silver.  On Audiogon the Aural Thrills Co. makes a nice interconect and you can score a pair for about 150 to 180 depending on how the bidding goes.  Quieter, more neutral, with all the detail of silver.  I'm a convert after years of different silver cables.

The main reason I'm looking for Silver IC's or PC's is to obtain the just ever so slight treble clarity that SS provides. But I'll never go with out a tube component in my system again. I like the real live flesh like tones that tubes can bring to Vocals,Drums,Guitars and espically Horns :D
I like to belive I can hear emotion from the system 8)

Which one do you have and which silver IC's have you tried? I won their "Air" palladium IC, but it's not here yet.  I would have gone for their "Air Active," but I'm feeling fond of unshielded designs these days.

I have not tried any Silver IC's or PC's that is why I'm trying to hear someother experiences of the forum members...
The Air Palladium sounds interesting. I have not heard of them.

I really believe you'll get that extension and sweetness in the treble that you're talking about with palladium.  I also believe you'll get more balance.

I've tried silver interconnects from Kimber, Audioquest, Zeus Audio, DH Labs, Stealth, and one other I can't recall off hand.  Come to think of it I'm not sure the Audioquests were silver.

I have the original pallidiums, not the air or active.  Been thinking on bidding on a pair of those.

I hope this helps.  I'm a little under the weather right now and not sure I'm making sense.

Take care
Dan
