If you need a little more oomph/power for your headphones and want full detail retrieval from top to bottom, in a portable package, this is it. I think it uses a Sabre chip. Look up reviews, it's well regarded. It sounds better than most external portable DAC's I've heard but I realized I don't need it in my scenario.
