I joined to discuss the speaker cable confusion I am having.  Semi-audiophile, much like semi-pro I guess.

If you follow the marketing hype you're bound to be confused (and potentially much poorer).  Blue Jean Cable is a no nonsense source for various wires.

Welcome aboard! You certainly picked a hot topic to start with.  Yeah.  Cables can be as complicated as you want them to be.  You may not be any less confused at the end of the day but you’ll get some straight up answers to technical questions and a lot of personal testimonies to the virtues of various pseudo tech stuff.  Enjoy the ride!

I do have a DIY set of Canare wires as well as some Oval-8's.  I am interested in Kimber 12TC or perhaps GR Research braided wires, but it's hard to get a straight answer from them.  I am also considering some type of ribbon cable as well.
