bugle/ps dual chassis questions
« on: 8 Apr 2005, 10:03 pm »
I am building my bugle and ps in seperate chassis. I have a couple of final questions.

1. where should I locate the led and power switch? Should the power switch be in the same position as the standard bugle or should I locate it in the PS chassis? if so where in the line?

2. what type of cable do people recommend for the umbilical and should I pass along the ground? Should the ground continue all the way from power cord / ps board / chassis and then connect it to the bugle board and its chassis?

3. where do people source a grounding nut for the turntable? how does that interface with the ground cable I may have brought over from the PS?

Thanks for any clarification you can provide,

Aaron

I did mine like this:

Used an XLR as you will note in the posts down the page. Tied the grounds from the PSU to the single point in the XLR and then on to the inputs.
Also note the selector switch.

1) Put power switch with supply.

2) Yes, connect ground return for power.

3) TT ground should connect to chassis, which is also grounded to Bugle.

jh :)
