NuForce is providing this opportunity on their new amp.

From what I've been reading about the NuForce, it's definitely worth checking out.

Has anyone else taken Nuforce up on the offer?
If not, why? I'm curious to know why there would be a lack of interest.

Hi,

I heard the 70 watt nuforce amplifier thru the following system.

Bel Canto cdp (it is ridiculously expensive)
Bel Canto Preamp
Nuforce monoblocks (70 watts)
War Audio Reference 1 speakers (i.e. raven 1 ribbon tweeter, accuton midrange and 8 inch cabasse speakers)
cables were top of the line luminious

The system is very revealing.  What impressed me was the transparency of the system, very wide soundstage (about 1 metre past the speakers) and system just sounded great and interesting.  I've recently bought a ps audio hca - 2 and in its stock form it sounds pretty basic.

I think the nuforce amps are definitely worth having a listen to.

Regards

Rod

ps i'm not on a retainer either  :)

Thanks for the update, Rocket.
Now, to put you on more of a spot: based on what you heard, would you
want to try it in your own system if you were in the market, and could sell your PS at no loss?

Hi Audiojerry,

I am toying with the idea of purchasing a nuforce amplifier at the moment and i do have the cash to do so.

I currently have a gain mismatch between my n.e.w. p3 preamplifier and ps audio amplifier.  I am also using the perpetual technologies p3a/p1a combination and as you know the p1a reduces gain by 6db.

The ps audio hca - 2 has 30db of gain and i currently have to turn the dial to 2 - 3 o'clock on my preamp (when using the p1a) to obtain moderate listening levels.  On one cd i have actually turned it up to full volume, i've never had to do that previously.

I will have to evaluate how the nuforce amp goes in my system before committing to purchase one.  I also need a phonostage as my hagtech battery one is great for the price but it would be good to have a better one.

Apparently the nuforce amplifier is set at 21 db.  Plus i have been toying with the idea of buying the phenomenal 2 kitset speaker from zalytron for a year or so.  So many things to buy on a limited budget.

Regards

Rod

I will be getting the 100 watt units and will be offering the demo as well.

The terms will be pretty much the same, but you will get to demo a production unit.

Of course, I too want you purchase them from your local dealer if you are near one.

Cheers!

Mike
