I just got a pair of Omega Junior Alnico XRS speakers to use with my Chord TT2.  They sound fantastic! I was looking for opinions on adding a sub to round out the sound, and came across this website.  Looks great, so I joined.

I’d appreciate any advice on subs…

What is your budget for a subwoofer?
I would suggest 2 for improved sound.

I like the REL T series for their small size and budget friendly prices.

Do you have a pair?  If so, how long did it take for yours to settle.  I’m at about 100 hours, and they are still changing.  At first they were really empty in the bottom end, but then they sounded great.  Now they are a bit harsh.  I hope they go back to the nice sound I heard at about 50 hours.

I use 3 carefully placed subwoofers in an 8ft x 13ft x 21ft room ala Floyd Toole, well respected acoustician.  Suggest reading his book "Sound Reproduction" (either edition) to learn that rooms inherently have peaks/dips of up to 30 dB and that multiple subwoofers is the best treatment.  BTW I use single driver loudspeakers as well.
