I am selling my Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2V2 SE 10th Anniversary Limited Edition because I am downsizing my system.  I hate to let it go.

I am the original owner.  The DAC has performed flawlessly for me and sounds amazing.  It will come with the original packaging and all accessories.

I am asking $2,775 $2,650 $2,500 plus actual shipping.  Also willing to sell in person if you are going to be in the Monterey area.

I am willing to accept Paypal F&F, Zelle, money order, or cashier's check.

Please see my long standing feedback on Audiogon under GregC.

curious to know if this unit is a fixed output dac, or whether the analog output volume can be adjusted with remote control (i.e. it can then be run direct into a power amplifier...)

thx

The DAC has a very good analog stage.  It can be configured for variable volume and ran directly to amps, or configured for fixed volume and ran into a preamp.

There are single ended outputs or balanced outputs.  I tried both and they each sounded great.  I chose to run balanced in my system.

If you connect the DAC directly to amps, you can connect the left/right channels of a home theater processor to the RCA inputs on the DAC.  When you select HT source on the DAC, the signal from your HT processor is passed directly through the DAC to the amp for the front speakers.  This allows you to share use of the front speakers for the DAC for 2 channel music, and as the left/right mains for your home theater processor.

Bump.

I decided that I am willing to accept Paypal Goods and Services payment as long as the buyer pays the 3.49 percent fee.

I recently noticed a mark on the side of the case. It does not break the surface and must have been a blemish on the case that I did not notice when I received it from Wyred 4 Sound. The mark is hardly noticeable from a few feet away but I wanted to disclose it to a potential buyer.

From W4S: The round dot is a ground stud that's pressed in. There is a nut on the other side. When coated, the electrical currents cause the powder to form like that and the metallic particles make it look different like that. Totally normal.

I provided an explanation for the dot on the case so others who see a case with that mark will realize it is a ground lug and normal. I have decided the W4S sounds so good I am going to keep it and focus on how I stream music to it.

No longer available for sale.
