Hi to all of you from Italy, first post in this forum.
I am a music enthusiast and audiophile since a long time, my journey into hifi realm started in the mid '70s, last decade of the golden age of hifi. Listening to good music through high quality devices it has always been one of my favorite activities, one of those passions that did not fade away at the passing of time. I had highs and lows but I always "returned home", whatever happens a good record and a good system will fix it...

I have a similar story, started my adventure in the 70's, built up then dropped down, then shifted gears from local shops to internet researching, and built up again.  Have a designed/dedicated listening room now and for now am content with what I have (98% streaming, 2% ripped CD's).

BTW we made a short visit to Italy last November (Naples, Florence, and Rome).  Ate lots of pizza but didn't get inside any sites.  Lots of tiny hatchbacks including many Fiat 500's (parking was non-existent).  Locals thought it was cold (about 60F), we (from Michigan) were in jackets/sweaters.
