I am from the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland and you call me Snake.
It's hard to say when I became "officially" an audiophile but even with the cheapest headphones I ever owned, I always tried every setting immaginable to get better sound. When I had to change headphones I usually always bought something better. I think the first time I really invested in audio when I bought expensive Razer Gaming Headphones with their dedicated sound card, which was around $300 iIrc (total crap btw). And when those fell apart (rather quickly) I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD251-II, I was blown by them.
Somewhere along the way a Asus Essence STX PCI-E sound card and after several years of the HD251-II being my daily drivers I upgraded to a pair of Fostex TH-X00 Purple Hearts (dayum, that bass).
Now, I've taken the hobby to another level and use a very nice headphone tube amp (similar to a Decware Taboo MKIII) and a Khadas Tone Board as DAC.
But now it's the time to make the next step in my journey and hope that I will find some useful info in this Forum and that I will be able to talk about it with other members!
