90’s panel speaker guy’s intro

Hello everyone. I have been an audiophile since I was in high school back in the early 80’s. I was the only person in my college dorm (or in the whole school, for that matter) who had Magneplanar speakers as a freshman (I saved forever for those MGIIb’s). I’ve always been a planar guy and my latest obsession involves collecting large and obtrusive vintage 1990’s panel speakers. I’m looking forward to fun and thought provoking conversation. I’m averse to snake oil, but I have had some experiences that humbled my views. I’m open to anything, but probably will scoff at outlandish claims unless I have heard it with my own two ears.  :green:

I'll quietly reflect on the Yamaha integrated and car (!) speaker box that was in my own dorm room - 2 tweets, 2 6 inch mids and 2 12 inch Cerwin Vega subs was the go to party setup when I was there...
