Editing Picture orientation

Are there any instructions on how to use this site? In trying to edit the orientation of pictures in another thread, unsuccessfully, I ended up with this new thread. Starting a new thread was not my intention. Now I cannot delete this thread.

You need to upload the pictures directly to your gallery first in order to rotate them.
Pics uploaded direct to a thread cannot be edited.

I've also found file size important when uploading directly in the thread. If the size is too large, the images gets rotated. I find saving a copy of the picture as a medium resolution (80%) JPEG then uploading the lower resolution image prevents the rotation.

Thanks will attempt that in the future.
What about deleting part of a post. I have two series of the same pictures that are sideways and wanted to delete the duplicates.

Got to the post you want to change and click on "Modify" in the upper right corner of the post. That will open your post so you can edit it. Delete the pictures you don't want then save the modified post

Just to clarify.
You can modify a post but you can not delete it.
Is that correct?

Yes. There is a bit of a convention to edit the subject to 'delete me' or such and a mod might do so.
