Greetings from Portland
« on: 18 Mar 2022, 08:27 pm »
Hi there,
Although I have been into audio for years, I am somewhat new to the hifi game.  I mostly play vinyl and am into low watt SET amps and horns - currently running Altec Model 14s with the Almarro a318b, Pioneer PL-71 tt with a Nagaoka mp-200.  I have a pair of newly built Model 19 clones with upgrades currently covered up in my mud room (too big for my new house).  I'm looking forward to connecting with fellow audio nuts and learning something along the way.  Thanks for having me!

PDX Portland?  :thumb:

There are more than a few fellow audio nuts within 100 miles of you. I'm in Beaver country. Those sure are pretty speakers you've got there.

Yup, PDX!  I just moved here from Denver in August 2021 and have already met a few.  The Model 19s were actually built by a guy here in Portland and I bought them off market.. a friend of a friend.  I'm starting to find that the underground web of audio runs deep  :o .  If only I had space to run them in the new house!

Welcome to the club. I'm just across the bridge when I'm not stuck in traffic to & from work.  It is surprising how many audioholics are in the NW. I guess it's a good hobby for the rainy winter months...

Welcome to AC, Tubes.  Great setup you have there.  You indeed qualify now for the official NW Audio Underground LP and Cheeseburger group.   :D

If we run any more big GTGs (get togethers) here in Lincoln City (ahem...Duck territory ), you will get an invite.

Good cheer.

Mud.
