Lots has been written about the IDA-8, a flexible and fine sounding compact unit selling at $1250.
Takes coax, toslink, usb and blue tooth, plus one set of analog inputs. Also has analog rca outs for subwoofers, etc.
A lot of functionality and quality in this small package!
Mine has had the full TDSS mods done to it at a cost of $400, and IMO the improvement in clarity and soundstaging was well worth it. The stock units have lots of great reviews onlline, but the mods up the game very noticeably.
I've driven some very expensive, high resolution, hard to drive speakers with this little guy (Avalon Opus, Revel Ultima Gems) and it handled them well and sounded very good doing it.
Mine is in very good, near mint condition, with just scratches on the speaker terminals that I can see.
Includes remote, blue tooth dongle, original IDA-8 packaging, manual.
Now asking $775, but will consider fair offers.
Great value for a fine sounding dac, remote controlled preamp, 100 wpc amp in a small, well made, energy efficient package. Probably the best IDA-8 you'll see!
