Hi Everyone,
I decided to join to meet those with similar interests and I hope to get much needed advice from time to time! I'm currently trying to learn more about speakers in general and fixing the older ones I have - most importantly my Speakerlab S6 speakers. New foam (easy enough) but two of the woofers are cracked (not from audio abuse, but toddler abuse) They've been parked in the garage for a decade. The toddler is 12 now, so I think they are safe :)
Other speakers - AR 18 and some Boston Acoustics (can't remember the numbers off hand) Obviously not hardcore audiophile stuff but at this point, with the tinnitus I earned back in the day that would be a waste.
More about me - I teach designers (product / graphic / UX) and illustrators about design. I live near San Diego, and when people get a little jealous of that I remind them that it's always a beautiful day for an earthquake :)
