newbie intro
« on: 22 Feb 2022, 03:58 pm »
Konnichiwa from kd4ylq Chapel Hill, NC. I've been enjoying (much more) music in the last couple of years thanks to Covid 19 and semiretirement. I split my (indoor) free time among reading, listening to music and work at my electronics bench. The Spatial M3T's are (finally) well and truly broken in and continue to astound me. I use either a First Watt SIT3 or Marantz MA-5s for power (& have several tube amps waiting in the wings for restoration) and use either the Marantz 7c or McIntosh C22 as the preamp, with a Bluesound Vault or Node 2i as digital source. I am thinking of buying another pair of Spatials to make a completely independent second system. I've basically given up on LPs and CDs, having given away hundreds the latter and will probably sell off all the vinyl to help pay for the new Spatials. I've got a dozen jazz streaming stations from around the world bookmarked in Bluesound and rely on them heavily but also have most of my hard drive filled with a mix of high-res and 16-44 FLAC files as an offline source.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
