Would someone explain these options please?

-- XLR version

Neutrik Speakon Connector (include or not)
Amp box
-- Standard
-- F Hole

The amplifier version is about the inputs.
If you use RCA cables to connect your subwoofer then "single ended" is the option to pick.
If you use XLR cables to connect your gear, then get the XLR amp.

Neutrik connectors allow you to disconnect the drivers from the amp to make them easier to move around.

The amp box is just the option for a decorative cut out on the side of the box that holds the amplifier.

Here's my build thread if you're interested.   I used the Neutrik connectors:

I am wondering about the Double Trouble Woofer Configuration: Two forward versus One forward one backward.
Which configuration is best for what situation?

Also, would this sub be overkill for a 14'x21'x9' room?

It doesn't really matter. Dual-opposing subs helps to balance out the front and rear waves, but the audible differences are rather minimal.

That's not a bad sized room at all. You could easily fit a pair of doubles in there.

I run doubles in my 12' x 14' x 8' room. They sound great.

Mounting both drivers both facing forward also makes wiring a lot easier to run, to hookup correctly, and to troubleshoot.

Thanks guys. I expect a bonus at work next month and that will be good news for Danny!

I have a pair of X-LS Encores that I built last summer hooked up to a vintage Luxman Lx-104. Clean and Clear! The Luxman has a single LFE output that I am eager to use for some Fast Bass.

Actually, I am still not clear on the Amp Box: Standard vs F Hole option. I looked through the build thread and didn't see anything. Can someone point me at a photo showing the difference?

The F hole is like the hole on a violin or cello. It's just a decorative cut.
