  Question for James.... I have your fine BCD3 . I would like to know if I can still order a spare tray loader . Also  is there a replacement for the display available as well.  You can see I wish to use the player for a long time to come because I am most satisfied with  your efforts on this model. My large collection of Red book cds  have never sounded better ....thanks.

  Good question. I did just that when I ordered my bcd3. My local hifi dealer got it for me when I bought the unit. After that let down with Philips I didn't want to be left with another fine player that I couldn't get repaired. I think those displays are quite long lived but  it wouldn't hurt to have  spare as well....maybe I will too...lol  Happy  listening. :icon_    P.S. the loader is Blue Tiger from Stream Unlimited I believe.

Hi BCD-3 guys, question for ya.For how long do you pause your unit, when playing music and for how long is it safe to leave it on?
It is good idea to order those spare parts, love my BCD-3.

I think it's called; STREAMUNLIMITED JPL-2800 TRANSPORT.Not sure about display.

Got similar feelings about my BR 20. Is the display there  different one? On pictures it shows blue characters. Just a different colour set or even different display? Always wonder if the display is the first thing to break and then having a 7 k preamp that is useless. Maybe not in 5 years but what about in 15?

Do any of you guys, use after market remote control for BCD-3.I have Universal Remote Control MX-450 and it works with BP-173, but I cannot program BCD-3 into MX-450.

Hi,
I use a Logitech Harmony. Controls the BR20 and other stuff.
