Sold

Emerald Physics EP2.7* dipoles  Asking $1,300

Original owner, purchased directly from Walter ~2016, these are by design active 2 or 3 way.  I have the original  external passive crossovers for mid/high.  For full 3 way you’ll need to provide a miniDSP to replace the passive mid/high box.

I used the external passive boxes only briefly and then moved on to 3 way, using six channels of a Trinnov processor.  You’ll need to supply your own, active xover(s)  for use.  An appropriate miniDSP model would work just fine – 2x4 using passive mid/high, 2x6 for full active.

IIRC, mine was one of the first to wear fancy finishes.  This one is the “Cocobolo” finish, which is very nice looking with no noticeable scratches and in mint condition. I will include three sets of tweeters for EP including a new unused set made by BMS.

Pick up in Long Beach CA only, if you’re interested, I can demo the system for the next 6-8 weeks , until I take the system down.  Please PM me if you want to chat or for additional photos etc.

* Mid and HF drivers upgraded to 2.7 spec.  I didn’t upgrade the original woofers as there was no need to, IMHO.

NB:  The dipole subwoofer shown in the photo is not part of this sale and I'll list those later.

Hi Burt,

What I'm selling is the configuration that Emerald physics sold, at that time, i.e. Biamped using EP's passive Xovers for high/mid and active (miniDSP) for the mid/bass.  It's an easy, and inexpensive change to go active 3-way using a second miniDSP 2x4 for the high/mid. That's what I did.

Bottom line: they can easily be either active 2 way or 3 way.  Your choice.  Let me know if you need more info 562-429-1716.  They're a terrific speaker, esp fully active, and a screaming deal for the right buyer.

Kind regards,

Ken B.
