ideas for portable speakers

Hi there-I'm a devoted Omega listener and have a somewhat off topic question. I realize that I may be asking the impossible, but has anyone heard decent portable speakers that I can travel with and plug into my laptop or ipod?

The little SoundPax combo from Sonic Impact makes real good music for the price ($50-60 for the speakers and SI amp).

Welcome to Audio Circle, Douglas. You might want to put questions like this in Audio Central, Two Channel or another non-manufacturer circle as these circles are usually for manufacturer-related questions. I'm not the thought police, just trying to help you along.

After trying several options including the SI, I'm now using Altec Lansing inMotion. They're the best yet. But still room for improvement.
