Greetings AudioCircle members. My name is Douglas and I live in Issaquah, Washington, just outside of Seattle. I have been interested in audio since I was in my early 20's. Way back then, I built Dynaco and Eico kits (now you can guess my age), scrounged the thrift stores for speakers and worked at a record shop (where I could get my vinyl at a discount). I love audio because it is a delightful mash-up of tinkering with gear together with enjoying great music recordings. Many systems and components have come and gone, but there is always something new to explore. Currently my main system consists of Emotiva pre, DAC, and amps powering a pair of vintage JBL 250Ti speakers. What fun! Next up (and the reason I joined AudioCircle) is a pair of JBL M2 speakers and a Crown DCi 4/1250. Suddenly, my accumulated knowledge of vintage gear will not be of help. I have come to Audio Circle to gain knowledge and understanding as to what has to be done to get my new components working and making music.

The M2 are awesome loudspeakers. I had their baby brothers, the 708P, and were the best all around loudspeakers I've ever heard/owned. Once you get to 3 posts, recommend PM'ing JWRace here at Audio Circle. He's very knowledgable and owns M2's.

Welcome to AC!

There are a couple M2 owners here. I have heard them a few times with different electronics and can tell you that the electronics feeding them are very important if you want high end sound.
