Hello from Atlanta, Ga
« on: 25 Dec 2021, 11:42 pm »
I was in Best Buy last month perusing the TV section and came across a Denon 300f and immediately thought about how long it’s been since I’ve listened to a vinyl record. It came home with me that day. Spent about 30 minutes digging around in my basement to find a box of records put away a couple of decades ago.  Hooked everything up and so many good memories started coming back.  I’m having so much fun getting re-acquainted with vinyl and audio in general.  My system is used for HT 99% of the time, and I’ve been researching the latest gear thinking about creating a separate stereo system and well, here I am.

Welcome!

Audio has changed in 20 years.  We know more about room acoustics, read Floyd Toole's "Sound Reproduction" either edition.  Lots more interest in dipole loudspeakers (open baffle).  And internet higher resolution streaming has replaced CD's.

Welcome to AC, TreyH.

I took a similarly long break from audio before getting into it again. It took me a while to get back up to speed. Have fun!

Welcome!  :thumb:

And if you need an award winning, beautiful, sealed, powerful, perfect for music sub or two for that new audio system you're building, I have two for sale and am nearby (Marietta). Used, excellent condition, and priced at significant cost savings for you.
