This is one of Oliver Sayes great sounding amplifier’s. This .75 watt single ended amplifier uses (2) 71a globe outputs, (2) 407a Western Electric inputs, one type 80 rectifier , fabulous with the right speakers. Used with Lowthers, Lii Audio, Voxativ, Emerald Physics, and others. The sound was beautiful with lots of 3D imagery, nice articulate highs and very good base. Compared to other SET amps, 45 korneff, type 46, 2A3, 300B etc... this amp literally BLOWS them AWAY............It is so much sweeter its hard to explain. This is the BEST SET amp I have owned and there have been MANY. The Amplifier has original Sansui power and output transformers (Think Hashimoto), one bell end has a dent and was existing and bought this way. Purely cosmetic (see photos)
This amplifier comes with all tubes pictured plus (1) spare ST80, (3) spare NOS Western Electric 407a. Power tubes pictured in the amp are MATCHED RCA windmill I will also include the RCA globes pictured. I also have several other pair of TRUE Matched 71a tubes available to the buyer
The amp was sent back to Oliver and gone through Earlier this year, he mad a couple changes, replaced a Cap and secured the caps that are floating in the pic. The pic of the guts was taken prior to sending the amp to Oliver all other pics are current and the amp offered
Price is 1500.00 FIRM plus shipping and Fees (If any) I would keep this forever but speaker changes have made it impractical and I hate to see it collecting dust
